About 1150 Parkwest PlaceVillage Terrace Condos

Prospective buyers and renters who value square footage and access to nature would be wise to keep an eye on 1150 Parkwest Pl. Built in 2001, Village Terrace Condos rises to 12 storeys in the Lakeview neighbourhood, a quiet Mississauga community. This building is only minutes from the lake, a community centre, shopping and dining, and a nearby on-ramp for the QEW.

1150 Parkwest Pl has plenty of appeal for first-time home buyers, downsizers, and families; the building is located directly across from the Village Green Park, which has quaint walking paths and a children’s playground. The condo offers modest amenities such as a gym, saunas, a games room, and parking and a concierge service.

Condo fees are a touch high for the neighbourhood but are below average by GTA standards. This property is the first in a multiple building development that includes Village Terraces II Condos, so buyers who cannot find a unit in phase one might be able to find one next door.

    The Suites

1150 Parkwest Pl contains just 123 Mississauga condos, all of which are spacious, and bright with natural light thanks to large window blocks and sliding balcony doors; the majority of suites feature two private terraces. These homes range in size from 627 square feet to 1240 square feet, and floor plans are available from 1 to 3 bedrooms, with select plus den units as well.

Prospective buyers can expect to encounter hardwood flooring, and modern kitchens with breakfast bars. The shape of the building leads to interesting floor plans, many with bay windows, or irregularly shaped living rooms and kitchens. Bathrooms provide a generous amount of space and come equipped with relaxing soaker tubs.

In keeping with the theme — bedrooms provide ample space for all furniture, and the deep walk-in closets are perfect for avid shoppers.

    The Neighbourhood

Lakeview is a desirable family neighbourhood with commuter ease and an abundance of nature and recreation options. The area is home to the Toronto Golf Club along its eastern boundary, and Lakefront Promenade Park is to the south, offering lakeside walking paths, multiple sailing clubs, volleyball courts, and more.

Families will find great schools throughout the area, and athletic facilities at Carmen Corbasson Community Centre are just 10 minutes away on foot. Lake Shore Blvd plays host to unique restaurants like Sushi Maki House, Skewers Grill, and The Golden Pheasant, and also well known fast food chains. And for weekends, there’s Stonehooker Brewing Co.

Shopping trips are easy at the Dixie Outlet Mall, just a 5 minute drive from the building. Additional shops and big box stores are centered around Lake Shore Blvd.

    Transportation

Residents of Village Terrace Condos have an excellent locale for a scenic walk, but it’s not ideal for running errands on foot. Unfortunately, public transit isn’t particularly efficient either; residents can catch the bus at Cawthra Rd and Atwater Ave but there aren’t any transit stations in the neighbourhood.

Car owners can get to downtown Toronto in a hurry by going north on Cawthra Rd for the QEW.
