The building is situated in the heavily forested Westminster - Branson neighbourhood, located just north of the 401 in North York.

    The Hemisphere Condominiums include some great extras to put residents in a state of relaxation; there are outdoor tennis courts, an outdoor pool and saunas, a party room, an exercise room, and manicured gardens.

    The building was completed by Menkes Developments in 1981 and occupancy was followed by a nearly identical project: Hemisphere II Condos, situated just next door. Both buildings are in-demand, so prospective buyers will need to keep their eyes peeled if they want to land a unit.

    The Suites

    Floor plans at 133 Torresdale Ave are generous to say the least — the smallest unit in the building is 1000 square feet and sizes can reach up to 1550 square feet. Residents can shop at Winners at RioCan Marketplace, grab coffee at Starbucks or dine at a number of restaurants in the area — from chains like Montana’s to endless buffet at 168 Sushi Buffet to fast food spots like Wendy’s, selection is never an issue.

    Transportation

    Residents of 133 Torresdale Ave might find it tricky to run errands on foot. There is a nearby grocery store — Bathurst Village Market — but meandering roads and low density pockets make it difficult to get groceries and essentials without a vehicle. There is however a bike share close-by, so confident riders can probably pull it off the odd grocery run on bike.

    Those who utilize public transit can catch the bus on Antibes Rd and ride to Sheppard West for subway service, but the trip to the station takes 30 minute alone. Car owners can kick off their morning commute by driving east and going south for the nearest 401 on-ramp.
