About 30 Grand Trunk CrescentInfinity I Condos

A stone’s throw away from the CN Tower, at 30 Grand Trunk Crescent, the Infinity I Condos offers luxury residences for anyone seeking an exciting lifestyle deep in Toronto’s core.

Completed in 2007, the first of a development of four condos, the Infinity I Condos began the Conservatory Group’s ambitious residential project. E.I. Richmond Architects designed the building to take full advantage of the location. There’s convenient commercial space at the base of the building, offering eateries and shopping for some necessities.

The tower rises up to 35-storeys. The exterior displays a truly staggering amount of windows and balconies that the residents of 30 Grand Trunk are certainly happy with, considering all the light in their homes. In fact, this development was so popular that there's an Infinity II Condos, Infinity III Condos, and Infinity IV Condos.

Residents also enjoy high-quality amenities. In Infinity I’s elegant marble lobby, 24-hour concierge service and a sparkling waterfall feature welcome residents. The building’s modern fitness centre is well-stocked with equipment and includes a yoga/aerobics room, sauna, and massage room. An indoor pool gives residents a place to relax, especially in its whirlpool, but is sizeable enough for a good swim.

Residents can have great get-togethers at 30 Grand Trunk in their condo’s own theatre, games room and party room, whose full-size kitchen hosts will love. Even business meetings have a space in Infinity I Condos. Residents have access to a sophisticated conference centre.

    The Suites

The 395 Suites use an open concept design that takes advantage of the building’s great windows. This ten-year-old building features some customization by residents, but the standard here remains impressive. Their modern kitchens mostly feature stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. These smart finishings highlight the architect’s ambitions: to be homes for those dynamically engaged with life in the city’s core.

Ranging from around 575 to 966 square feet, downtown Toronto condos for sale in this building go from one-bedroom to two-bedroom plus den. Large private balconies extend residents’ living space — as well as provide spectacular views that include quintessentially Toronto landmarks like the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Steamwhistle Brewery, and Lake Ontario.

    The Neighbourhood

Its location in City Centre neighbourhood makes 30 Grand Trunk the place to be. There’s no “main” attraction here, since everything around can be considered main attractions — all within walking distance.

Placed between the Rogers Centre and the Scotiabank Arena, sports fans living at Infinity I will certainly be happy. Those more inclined to the arts only need to go up the street to see great shows on King Street, where there’s a magnificent mix, like the Roy Thomson Hall that houses the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and live productions at the Princess of Wales and Royal Alexandra theatres. Even film fans have places to go with the TIFF Bell Lightbox holding some of the most artistic screenings in the city. Alternatively, Scotiabank theatre on Richmond plays all the movies everyone’s talking about.

South of 30 Grand Trunk, Toronto’s Lakeshore easily entertains, with a vast network of green space that offers great activities, like ice-skating at the Harbourfront Centre, perusing the art at the Power Plant Contemporary Galleys, gazing at sea-life in the Ripley’s Aquarium, or taking a beer tour through the Steamwhistle Brewery.

With all the attractions comes an astonishing array of food options. Residents have the ability to dine out everyday, without getting bored or breaking the bank. But, for a most indulgent experience, the Toronto institution, Harbour Sixty Steakhouse is just around the corner, less than five minutes away.

Though residents can eat out every night, there are easy options for groceries. A Sobeys, less than a ten-minute walk down the street, provides the best selection around. Still if residents forget something, there’s the Longo’s just across the street in Maple Leaf Square.

    Transportation

In terms of walkability, residents of are lucky. It’s not just that there’s so much close by, it’s that even in the worst weather, the PATH’s extensive underground network sits at the foot of their building. From there, the walk to Union Station is just a few steps.

Union Station is the great commuter hub of the city. Residents needing to get around Toronto can take the TTC, choosing to go north up either the Yonge or University-Spadina lines, connecting to the Bloor-Danforth running east and west across the city.

Those visiting the suburbs and towns surrounding Toronto can choose between GO Transit’s trains or buses at Union. And, those travelling even further have VIA Rail available, as well as the Union-Pearson Express, that will take travellers from the Core to the airport in only 25 minutes.

Infinity I Condos’ motorists may sometimes find driving in their area quite busy, with all the attractions available, but with two nearby access points to the Gardiner Expressway at York St and Spadina, they can get moving quickly.
