About 300 Front Street W — 300 Front Street West
Sometimes glass towers are criticized in Toronto: there are many of them, and one tends to look somewhat indistinguishable from the next. The condos at 300 Front Street West & 20 John Street in the King West neighbourhood, however, are something of an exception.
The soaring glass complex, known collectively as 300 Front Street West, is ideal for the growing density that is characteristic of Toronto’s recent past. Tridel was clearly aware of the heightened interest in Toronto when developing the condo in 2013, and they did whatever they could to let the building stand out from the crowd. For one, the double-height glass entrance leads residents into the elegant, yet modern (and always impressive) lobby.
The amenities are another reason why prospective buyers are drawn to the building. These are found in “The Three Hundred Club” on the 15th floor, which consists of a gym, yoga studio, party room, games room (billiards and poker lovers rejoice), and a media room. Moreover, swimmers and sunbathers alike will be glad to learn that the building boasts an infinity pool up on the roof, as well as cabanas for relaxing in before, or instead of, taking a dip. And to top it all off, 300 Front Street West features landscaped gardens, communal barbecues, a concierge, and visitor parking.
The building also happened to be known for its pet-friendly attitude, ideal for buyers searching for a place for themselves and their furry friends. That, and the fact that the building is just steps from the PATH and the subway, makes these homes hard to pass up.
The Suites
With nearly 700 units, prospective buyers and renters of all types will be able to find King West condos for sale or rent in the building. This fact is amplified when learning that sizes range from affordable, 450-square foot starter homes to 2,800 square foot palaces in the sky.
The complex is broken down into two buildings: 49 storeys of condos are located at 300 Front West and 13 storeys of lofts over at 20 John, and homes feature one, two, or three bedrooms. Balconies can be found throughout, and some even wrap around the building, resulting in panoramic views for its residents.
Contemporary finishes are also the standard at 300 Front and 20 John. Kitchens are sleek and modern, with stainless steel appliances and tile backsplashes. And whenever a resident can, they should remember to take a break from cooking to check out the amazing views of the city below.
The Neighbourhood
Sports and music fans alike will feel more than just content with the neighbourhood surroundings. While others will fight for parking spaces or travel long distances on the TTC to catch a game or a concert at the Rogers Centre, residents can simply head out on foot. In fact, this walk will take a grand total of about 4 minutes.
Also within a similar walking distance are the CN Tower, the Ripley’s Aquarium, Steam Whistle Brewing, Union Station, the Scotiabank Arena, and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. If residents are willing to walk a little farther — 5 -8 minutes instead of 4 — they can reach Roy Thompson Hall, the Princess of Wales Theatre, and the TIFF Bell Lightbox.
Shopping fanatics can head up to Queen West for everything from global brands to local boutiques. And Foodies will be overwhelmed by the options they have when living at 300 Front Street West. King West is home to some of the most trendy restaurants and bars in the city, where even celebrity sightings shouldn’t be thought of as surprising. Those who prefer to cook, on the other hand, can gather groceries at the Fresh & Wild Food Market on King, or the Metro Centre on Wellington Street West.
Transportation
While owning a car is not required when living at 300 Front Street West, residents who do drive are still in luck. They can quickly exit the congested streets of downtown Toronto by zipping over to the Gardiner Expressway. From here, drivers can reach the 427 and the Don Valley Parkway in no time, making even a trip to Pearson International Airport only a 25-minute ride.
With Union Station a 9-minute walk away, those without cars still have plenty of options for getting around, both locally and when exiting the city. Here, travelers can access services including TTC, VIA Rail, GO, and UP. Streetcars along Spadina and buses on Front will also come in handy for local commutes.
