About 349 St Clair Avenue WWinston Place

Long overlooking the lush natural landscape of the Cedarvale Ravine, the Winston Place Condos is filled with distinguished homes, along with their homeowners who enjoy the prime location at 449 St. Clair Avenue West. Right between the Casa Loma neighbourhood and prestigious Forest Hill South, the Winston Place Condos excite many prospective homeowners whenever one of these luxury suites becomes available.

It’s no surprise residents settle into 349 St. Clair West for the long haul: the timeless architecture looks as attractive today as when the building was first completed in 1977 — the only difference being the surrounding trees that have beautifully matured.

Standing at 4 storeys, the architectural design boasts brilliant dimensions: the largely brick exterior features stone accents across every level, as well as shining windows and deep balconies. As a result of this sophisticated interplay of materials, the tower's architectural elegance represents a rationally refined, modern aesthetic.

Matching 349 St. Clair West’s exterior, the Winston Place Condos contain a curated set of amenities for their residents to enjoy. Homeowners can work out in a well-equipped exercise room, then unwind in a sumptuous sauna. As for social spaces, residents have access to a communal barbecue area — perfect for hosting visitors after a Fall stroll through the Cedarvale Ravine, conveniently located right behind 349 St. Clair West.

    The Suites

As beautiful as the building's architecture is, the exterior is not the only reason that Toronto condos for sale here rarely appear on the market: each of the 39 suites are generously sized, ranging from around 1,500 to almost 3,100 square feet. This includes two, two plus den, three, and four bedroom floor plans and they cover two, or even three floors each.

Although it was built over three decades ago now, 349 St. Clair West’s suites have maintained a fresh atmosphere courtesy of their exceptional exposures and many expansive windows. And, although most suites have been customized by the loyal residents over the years, new residents moving into any unit can expect some charming and unique fixtures, such as wood burning fireplaces and brick walls — some of which accent their sunrooms tastefully.

    The Neighbourhood

Just west of Spadina Road on St. Clair, those living in the Winston Place Condos enjoy being close to numerous scenes, each with a distinctive character. West on St. Clair, there’s a diversity of markets and eateries catering to the different communities who have settled in midtown Toronto, culminating in the Corso Italia & Davenport neighbourhood around Dufferin Street.

Heading east on St. Clair leads residents to a popular commercial district centred around Yonge Street. Many major brands have shops along this street, which has in turn attracted many favourite restaurant franchises, and has also lead to the success of the area’s local eateries: the much-acclaimed Holy Chuck Burgers opened their first store on Yonge just south of St. Clair.

Lastly, a number of historical and cultural attractions are just down the street on Spadina Road. Many know about the popular Casa Loma, which deserves all the recognition it receives — especially after its been slated to host some exciting new activities — but the Spadina Museum should not be overlooked either. This historic house and garden exhibits the upscale tastes and high culture that existed as Toronto established itself in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

    Transportation

Across the street from the Winston Place Condos, one can find St. Clair West Station, just below the conveniently located Loblaws. Trains from St. Clair West take riders downtown by way of the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line, with a trip into the core taking all of about fifteen minutes. Passengers also have the option to hop off as trains pass the Bloor-Danforth line along the way, in order to travel east and west.

Alternatively, for those who prefer driving, St. Clair stretches across midtown Toronto, with a break towards the east at Mount Pleasant, due to the Don Valley. And, for those heading downtown, residents will love that traffic moves well on Spadina Road — even when it becomes Spadina Avenue as one moves south of Bloor Street.

Last but not least, the highway is easily accessible from the building. Although Spadina Road ends a few blocks north of the building, drivers can head directly to the 401 on Bathurst, or access the Allen Expressway via Eglinton West, the first major road north of 349 St. Clair West.
